The Observatory | Santa Ana, CA | 3.14.15
So, Jack did an awesome thing for me and got me a photo pass at the last minute. I wasn't gonna shoot this show - but then I ended up having to go alone. It's always nice to be able to take pictures when you have no one to dance with.
I've always liked the Observatory. However, I would much rather bring a telephoto lens and shoot from the back than in the photo pit. I am super short and the stage is incredibly tall and has little boxes in the front to hold equiptment. Also from the pit the magenta and blue were pretty much umbearable. I guess now I know for next time...

So I had no idea that Jarrod Gorbel had a new band. So when he walked out on stage I was like "oh, this dude looks familiar..." and then he started singing and I was like "oh fuck, it's Jarrod". I have no idea how many times I have seen Jarrod perform but it's probably well over twenty. Anyway, I know that was a really lame story - I was just kind of shocked he was there.

Bleachers
The energy was crazy high at this show. There was a great crowd and the band played great. They played "Who I Want You To Love", which is my favorite on the album, and it was absolutely beautiful.
Here's that stupid box thing that made it super hard for me to take pictures:
I wasn't super happy with the pictures I got while down in the pit - so of course I took some shots when I went back in the crowd. I had a hell of a time trying to find a space to see/shoot. I think there's some tall dude in all my shots - but that's what happens when you're under five foot, right?
I can't handle this one. Making fun of this for days. Add this to the "funny faces of Jack" thread immediately.
