The Gone Now Tour came through Southern California last week and I got to catch a couple shows. Bleachers is on tour to support their new album, Gone Now (go buy it), and they brought along with them a really great band called Tangerine. Tangerine is a Seattle band that just relocated to Los Angeles, check 'em out and catch one of their shows if you get a chance.
My sister and her husband flew out for the show in LA on Tuesday. This was my first time seeing Bleachers play a headlining set with my sister and it really made me miss traveling and dancing around the country with her. I wish we could do it every night. This was maybe the best performance I have ever seen Jack Antonoff put on - and incredible amount of energy went into this show.
I had the opportunity to take some pictures of them on Friday at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA and the they both brought it, again. Tangerine played pretty much every song on their Spotify flawlessly. I really enjoyed photographing them, they interact with each other in a really cute way on stage. Ah, but their lights were so much cooler on Tuesday in LA and I wish I could have captured that for you guys. Bleachers blows me away every time. Their set was pack full of hits; they played almost everything I wanted to hear. Their lights are so much fun to experience and watch with their set; however, they're incredibly difficult to photograph because the band is almost entirely back lit and theres an overwhelming amount of smoke. Regardless, I got some decent shots.

This cake/birthday thing happened both nights. I love when bands do this type of thing once, but repeating it seems like a time filler and doesn't feel like a genuine experience. With that being said, my best friend got some of the cake in LA and I am pretty sure it made her night.
