My name is Julie, and I take pictures of nearly everything.​
I use photography to capture specific moments in time. I’ve learned that memories fade much more quickly than we expect, and photography allows a fraction of a second to be documented and relived for years to come.

Much of my childhood is undocumented. My memories of it are limited, and I don’t have many photos to look back on. I purchased my first camera in 2010 and was thrilled that I could begin documenting my life. I developed a strong passion to record the world around me. I constantly thought about how to frame my next shot. From landscapes and wildlife, to live music, to portraits, I discovered a deep love for photography and learned what intrigues me about each subject. 

​Landscape photography brings me peace. Taking pictures of animals encourages me to predict their next behavior. Concert photography gives me the ability to share the unique energy created by performers and crowds. Creating portraits allows me to document the true essence of an individual. Weddings and family portraits reminded me of why I was drawn to photography in the first place...to help preserve memories.
